States & lines of authority

We are licensed to transact insurance in the states where we are appointed. Specific lines of authority (personal lines, property & casualty, life, health, etc.) and the list of states in which we are licensed are available on request and through state Department of Insurance lookups. Insurance products are offered only in states where we and the issuing carrier are licensed.

Carrier appointments

We work with multiple admitted and surplus-lines insurance carriers. Coverage availability, eligibility, pricing, and discounts vary by carrier, state, and underwriting. Insurance Wizard is not the insurer; policies are issued by the carriers we are appointed with.

Compensation

Insurance Wizard is typically compensated by commissions paid by insurance carriers on policies we sell and service. We may also receive contingent or performance-based compensation. We will disclose specific compensation arrangements upon request to the extent required by applicable state law.
